Welcome to CKM's Summer of Service,

Summer of Service (SOS) offers incoming Middle School and High School students the opportunity to make new friends, connect to their new campus, and give back to their community! Through a 5-week Service-Learning program, our students have the opportunity to become agents of change in their new schools by completing a student-led project that incorporates both research and action.

Students will have the privilege of working together to improve their community through service learning projects aimed at addressing community relevant issues and concerns. Students will complete approximately 120 hours working in a variety of Service-Learning projects. Participants will also have access to enrichment activities that will strenghten their ability to collaborate with their peers, influence and create a positive school culture and practice and refine their literacy, speaking and listening skills. SOS seeks to infuse elements that promote participants exposure to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) content where appropriate.

Students will also have the opportunity to compete in fun and engaging mental and physical games and challenges. High school students are eligible to earn 5 high school elective credits.    Free breakfast and lunch provided daily. Program includes field trips, performances, and an end of the summer showcase!
